Julia and Colin no longer think of themselves as step-siblings. As much allies as lovers, they have more immediate issues. Like how to seek out and destroy the Russian Mafia-connected group that hounded her father to death, and what to do about the workplace harassment of Julia by a man with a secret, violent past? But the most dangerous issue of all might be what happens when Julia’s mother discovers her daughter and step-son have acted on their mutual attraction...

Recoil, Book Two is the second novella in a serialized trilogy. Book One is already out and available at http://geni.us/Rg2 and Book Three will be released February 12th!

As I came more fully awake, I became aware of something else.

I was naked. And I wasn't alone.

The memory of the previous night came rushing back, followed quickly by the realization I was still in Colin's bed. Which jerked me out of the remnants of sleep to a sitting position in a matter of a split second.

Clearly I'd lost my mind. And if Colin's barely heard and barely remembered words as I went to sleep in his arms earlier were true, so had he. He loved me?

It couldn't be. I'd misheard, or hallucinated, which was another worry. If I'd hallucinated that, it must mean I wanted it to be true, and I didn't – couldn't! My mother would kill me. She'd barely had time to live down the scandal of marrying up in financial class, with my dad so recently dead. To have her daughter linked romantically with her stepson would be the last nail in the social coffin.

I couldn't fix Colin's little problem this morning. Okay, big problem. There was certainly nothing little about that erection. That gorgeous, yummy... Oh, what was the use? I was already in deep shit. I might as well enjoy myself one more time.

Like you, I’m a reader. When I read a good story with characters I can connect with, my everyday existence fades into the background as I enter a world that may contain exotic locations, adventure and excitement. And, if I can be totally honest with you, in my favorite stories I can fall in love for a while with an impossibly gorgeous guy who is the best lover imaginable.

So, maybe it won’t come as a surprise that in my books you’ll find hot alpha male book-boyfriends, sassy heroines who are much more clever and beautiful than I am, and stories I hope will make you laugh and cry while reading them, as I did while writing them. Oh, and some scenes you may want to role-play with your lover.

When I’m not writing (which is almost never) I enjoy reading, hiking in the foothills near Denver, live blues music, karaoke and now and then indulging in her karaoke habit.

They soon find they have a common interest, though – stopping the inappropriate and hasty marriage of her mother to his father.

When they discover that the recent death of her father might have had something to do with his father’s business, the common interest turns them into allies. But what will they do about their own sizzling chemistry?

Recoil, Book One is the first novella in a serialized trilogy. Books Two and Three will be released quickly, but I couldn’t wait any longer to bring you the first part of the story.

She probably got him to propose by twining him around her elegant, slender finger and then refusing his advances without a ring on it. Nothing I said had swayed him. He was hell-bent on marrying her, and not only that, but marrying her in indecent haste. In a few moments, I'd be expected to join him, his fiancée, and her daughter at the head table as Dad made his announcement of their engagement.

As the moment approached, I spent more time trying to read the daughter's body language from across the room. She seemed to have a chip on her shoulder about something. Her pose was all fire compared to her mother's ice, though. When Dad said something to her, she retorted with enough heat to make him flinch back. What was her problem? She'd probably end up with a windfall of a couple of billion dollars when her mom wore my poor dad down, and he died begging for a quickie.

The daughter wasn't my type, but I could imagine she'd be a spitfire in bed. I'd soon have her tamed, though, by wrapping my fingers in that long hair and riding her like...

Well, that line of thought had to stop. In moments, I'd be forced to walk across the room with everyone's eyes on me. Doing that while sporting a massive erection was not my idea of fun.

Virginia's greatest passion has always been fiction, particularly romance. The innocent in her loves the idea of a happily-ever-after, but she has a massive soft spot for the bad boys. If you ask her, she'll tell you that she's living her dream— getting paid to read and helping indie authors to create beauty by working as an editor for Hot Tree Editing. She's inspired by the many amazing indie authors she has met and has (finally) found the courage to follow her other dream by becoming a published author.

River Scott is the daughter of a billionaire. She runs her father's company and does what she is told, including cleaning up after her out-of-control, socialite, wild-child baby sister.

After a tragic night fifteen years ago, River feels she has no choice but to continue on the path of being the good one, keeping her sister in check and always pleasing her father.

She's in a dead-end relationship, but all she wants is love, passion, and sweep-you-off-your-feet excitement.

Because of her sister, she meets ex-male escort, Damian Matthews. Their attraction is by far like nothing either have experienced. He gives her everything she wants and so much more.

Unfortunately, this is not the guy River's father would approve of. He approves of Ryan Lane, a wealthy, successful playboy who is ready to settle down and start a life in politics. She knows Ryan is the smart choice, but no one makes her feel like Damian does.

When River starts dating Damian, a set of events are put into motion changing everything she thought she knew about her family.

Can River get what she wants without losing everything and hurting the one person she has sworn to protect for the rest of her life?

This is a standalone novel. Due to strong language and sexual situations, this book is meant for adults over 18.

The five titles in the Irrationally His series are brought together in one seamless read in Irrationally His, The Collection.

Chelsea couldn’t stand Travis ten years ago when her mother married his dad and moved to his ranch in Montana. The feeling was mutual. He stayed – she went to live with her dad. On the occasion of a week-long ten-year anniversary party, they meet as virtual strangers, and sparks still fly. The trouble is, where sparks fly, fire soon follows. Even though he’s too cocky, too arrogant, too flippant and a bum, she can’t keep her mind and soon her hands off of him. And even though she’s illogical, unfathomable and completely annoying, she’s all woman and irresistible to him.

Nothing but trouble can come from them acting on their desires. The question is, just how much trouble are they willing to tolerate for the sake of exploring how far their passion will take them?

What people are saying about the series...

Travis and Chelsea, described by one reviewer at the beginning as “an uncommitted, somewhat self centered man, and a directionless and slightly flakey woman” meet as virtual strangers on his father’s ranch, where his father and her mother are about to celebrate their tenth wedding anniversary in opulent style. Undeniable chemistry versus misunderstandings, separation, and tragedy inevitably change and mature them. The question is whether they’re right for each other in the greater scheme of things. Only time and distance will tell.”

Chelsea
“You do know you’re trespassing, right?”
The voice startled me from a sound sleep and my eyes flew open to reveal what I at first thought was a vision straight out of my book. From my position, lying on my back, he looked too tall to be real, and the tight-fitting jeans, plaid Western shirt, and Stetson hat did nothing to dispel that thought. The expression on his face puzzled me at first. A wide grin revealed perfect teeth and belied the words he’d spoken.
I started to answer when I noticed his eyes flick from my face to my — oh, my God! My chest. My bare boobs. What the hell? I crossed my arms over myself and sat up in one motion. Looking around wildly for my shirt, I heard him speak.
“Looking for this?”
I hadn’t answered his accusation of trespassing, but I had plenty to say about him holding my shirt out of my reach. I wanted to cover way too much quivering flesh A-S-A-P. Thank God my lower half wasn’t naked. That would have been too much. Literally.
“Give me that, you bastard!” As I spoke, I lifted my face to glare at him. With a cocky grin, he tossed my shirt to me, but didn’t look away. “You could at least turn your back while I put this on.”
When he didn’t, I snarled, “You’re no gentleman.”
“Didn’t say I was,” was his laconic reply.
When he still didn’t turn away, I had no choice but to let one arm move to retrieve the shirt, and then to expose my boobs to his gaze again as I lifted my arms to pull the shirt over my head. Although I was covered, it wasn’t much better as the shirt was a bit too small, and in my haste to cover myself, I’d skipped the bra. A quick glance downward made me groan. In the now-chilly air under the shade of a tree, my traitorous nipples were in full evidence under the thin fabric. As was my belly. I sucked it in.
I was at a severe disadvantage in my sitting position on the ground, so I stood to look him in the eye. It wasn’t usually a problem for me, at my five-eleven height. Nevertheless, I had to look up several inches to meet his. “I’m not trespassing.”
He quirked one eyebrow, the challenge clear. Then he looked pointedly at my chest again.
I crossed my arms. “My mother is married to the owner of this ranch.”
His eyes widened. “Is she? How nice for you.”
“How long were you standing there getting an eyeful before you woke me?” I asked. I was about two seconds from punching this asshole in his pretty face.
“Oh, I don’t know,” he answered with a slow drawl.  “Ten minutes? Fifteen?”
“You bastard!” I exclaimed again. “I assume you work for my step-dad. I’m going to have you fired.”
“You assume wrong, Chelsea,” he said.
