He grabbed her arm and led her to the shower. Placing his hand under the stream, he checked the temperature before he forced her inside. Emma’s brain yelled for her to fight back, but she didn’t. There was no fire left. She’d escaped Xavier once already, and then she’d escaped Morgan. Both times she’d fought as hard as she could to get away.
This time, everything felt different. Nothing mattered. Xavier had won. Nothing she did would ever make him stop. She’d never be free of him.

By day Ann Grech lives in the corporate world and can be found sitting behind a desk typing away at reports and papers or lecturing to a room full of students. It took a second to register that it might be a bad idea.

She’s never entirely fit in and loves escaping into a book—whether it’s reading or writing one. But she’s found her tribe now and loves her MM book world family. She dislikes cooking, but loves eating, can’t figure out technology, but is addicted to it, and her guilty pleasure is Byron Bay Cookies. Oh and shoes. And lingerie. And maybe handbags too. Well, if we’re being honest, we’d probably have to add her library too given the state of her credit card every month (what can she say, she’s a bookworm at heart)!

Kim Deister was born and raised in a tiny town in the wilds of northern New York that is less than six hours from the Arctic Circle, a pretty college town called Potsdam. She grew up in a family of lawyers and teachers and bucked all the traditions to run off and wear combat boots in the US Army as a Signals Intelligence Analyst (no jokes!) and a linguist. She also worked as a tech writer for Corning Glass Works, which was an entirely different kind of writing. 

Living the Army life has allowed Kim to travel all over and much of that has seeped into her books. She has a love of strong female characters, tropical places, and flipping traditional themes on end. She loves that words can take one out of the existing world and let the unimaginable become imaginable. When she’s not writing, she’s probably on the beach, with her nose deep in a book.
