"It’s Not You had me catching all the feels, and I loved every single moment of it! For me, this book checked all the boxes when it comes to an M/M romance book." - Charles Reads
When a protective ex-cop helps his gorgeous tenant through his recovery, their complicated history is asking for trouble. Will the fear of the past repeating itself destroy any possibility of happiness?

Daredevil drifter Lawrence Crawford is hunting for a place to call home. After ten years of looking, he believes he’s found what he’s been searching for. With a job that pays the bills and a small group of friends he’s opening up to, he lets down his guard. Perhaps too much so. Finding himself in need of support, Lawrence is forced to accept help from the one man who’s been driving him to distraction for the past year. His landlord.

Former cop Billy Hilton made a mistake—admittedly there’ve been many over the years. The latest is when he lets Lawrence believe he isn’t interested in pursuing anything with him. It’s not even the age difference or the fact the guy lives in Billy’s studio apartment that’s the problem. Instead, it’s all him. When Billy offers to play nursemaid to Lawrence, his intentions may not be pure, but they’re honest. And that honesty blows their lives wide open when Lawrence’s past comes knocking on the door, demanding changes and threatening an upheaval neither man may ever recover from.

Book five in Becca Seymour’s stand-alone low-angst, feel-good M/M romance series, True-blue. In this small town, there are busybodies, dogs who cause chaos, families who have the “best” of timing, and opportunities for good men to find their perfect match. This book can be read as a stand-alone.

“I love you.”
Those three words hit me like pointed shards of ice. In my favorite romance stories when the man makes his love confession, the woman melts into a big pile of emotional goo.  Then they have the best sex of their lives that’s full of descriptive adjectives for several pages.  Owen’s declaration didn’t fill me with fluffy feelings and thoughts.  I was totally and completely scared out of my ever-lovin’ mind.
“You can’t love me.”
“Yes, I can.”
“It’s impossible.”
“It’s not.”
“You shouldn’t do that.”
“Do what?”
“Love me.”
“Why not?”
“Because I don’t deserve it.  I’m so fucked up, I don’t deserve anyone’s love.  I’m fuckin’ toxic.”
Owen’s voice growled in my ear as he proceeded to gut me completely.  “No one deserves to be loved.  It’s not something you have to work for either.  You don’t buy it like you do milk in a grocery store.  It’s not about clothes or looks or money.  I know your family thinks that way and I’ve seen first-hand that being rich doesn’t mean shit when it comes to loving someone.  I don’t think you do either.”
I was one big, raw open wound.  How many fucking times in my life had I sought one-night stands just to feel something?  Anything.  How many times had I let someone touch me and not known his last name? How many times did I mistake lust for love?  Was I worthy of it?  Would I ever be good enough for someone’s love?  How could I even recognize it?
Owen’s lips pressed into the spot just under my earlobe.  “Listen well, Melanie.  You know I don’t bullshit.  Ever.  There’s nothing you can do to make me love you.  Nothing you can say, nothing you can buy.  Not sex or the promise of it.  Not a house or car.  You do not and cannot make me love you.  I just do.  Something else you should figure out.  You can’t make me love you, and you can’t stop me from loving you either.”
I couldn’t contain it.  I let the torrent free and totally flooded the shoulder underneath my cheek.  My fingers dug into his skin as I clung to his strong arm.  I don’t know how long it took for me to empty.  It might have been a few minutes.  It might have been an hour.  He stayed there throughout the entire deluge, holding me, breathing into my hair, kissing my skin, and murmuring I love you’s over and over.  The shakes subsided at last.  I should have been exhausted from the roller coaster emotions of the day.  I wasn’t.  I felt alive.  I felt lighter.  Freer.  More open.  I felt…  I felt… I felt pure need.
“Owend?”  Shit, my nose was plugged up.
He knew exactly what I asked and offered.  “If I touch you now, I’m not going back to friends only.  I’m committed and I’m not leaving.  Are you ready for that?  If you’re not, I can wait.”

I've had stories in my head since I was a child.  All sorts of stories of fantasy, romance, mystery and anything else that captured my interest.  I'm a voracious reader, and have spent many hours in my life devouring books, therefore it's only fitting I should write a few myself!

I've spent most of my life as a performing musician and band instrument repair technician, but that doesn't mean I'm pigeon-holed into one mold.  I've been a university professor, belly dancer, craftsperson, soap maker, singer, rock band artist, jewelry maker, lifeguard, swim coach, and whatever else I feel like exploring.  As one of my students said to me once, "Life's too short to ignore the opportunities."   I have no intention of ever stopping so welcome to my story world.  I hope you enjoy it!

Chloe Anderson is a good girl. She doesn’t just follow the rules—she writes them. As an HR consultant who lives her life by the book, Chloe carefully cultivates every detail of her life to ensure a happy and successful future. Inheriting a male strip club wasn’t part of the plan.

Grayson Wyatt would be dead if it weren't for his mentor—a woman who saved him and so many others from a life filled with violence and torment, helping them to rebuild after the abuse that tore them apart. So when she passes unexpectedly, Grayson is determined to see that her legacy lives on. He isn't expecting a niece no one even knew existed to inherit it all, leaving the future of the club and those it protects uncertain.

But Chloe has more in common with Grayson and the people of Club Chaos than she realizes. And when her situation takes a dangerous turn, she finds solace in the embrace of this unconventional family. When the trauma of the past collides with the desire of the present, Chloe must fight her way through the pain to find the peace that lies amongst the chaos.

“You need to get dressed,” she said, bending to collect my pants and shirt from where they’d been discarded on the floor. She thrust the clothes toward me, refusing to look at me, her breathing heavy as she fought to regain control.
I got to my feet, took the clothes from her, and tossed them to the chaise behind me. Threading our fingers together, I tugged her back into my chest and smiled down at her, staring deeply into her wide doe-like eyes.
“Is that really what you want?”
“Yes,” she said, her lips parting as she said the word, but her eyes told a very different story.
“You sure? Getting naked is kind of my job.”
Her brow furrowed and she pushed at my chest, stepping back. “And you are very good at it, but that’s not why I’m here.”
I folded my arms across my chest and widened my stance. “Then why are you here?”
“To talk to you,” she said, matching my stance. My eyes fell to her breasts, which were practically spilling from the top of her dress from the movement.
Slowly I raised my eyes back to her face and watched as she swallowed hard, squirming beneath my gaze.
“I’m not sure if you know this, but talking isn’t usually what goes on back here.”
Her lips parted in shock at my implication, and I couldn’t help but imagine those lips wrapped tightly around my shaft.
Her eyes fluttered closed as she took a deep breath in and then exhaled. “Let’s start over.”
I nodded, waiting for her to continue as the music skipped to the next song on the playlist. The dance was only supposed to last one song, but curiosity kept my feet planted as I waited for her to continue.
“My name is Chloe Anderson,” she said. “I believe you knew my aunt.”
I stood there frozen, half naked, my cock rock hard and throbbing in front of this gorgeous woman who, as it turned out, was my new boss.
